Brandy Rayana Norwood popularly known as Brandy is a renowned R&B singer, songwriter, model and an actress. She was born on 11th February 1979. Her singing talent was discovered when she was barely two years old. Encouraged by her father, a pastor and a choir director Willie Ray Norwood, she spent her childhood days singing and performing at many West Coast functions and while she turned 11, she had a chance meeting with Christ Stokes, who gave her a break as a backup singer for the group called 'Norment' and teen R&B trio 'Immature'. Three years later, in 1993, Norwood gave an impressive performance at a party hosted by the Atlantic Recording Corporation, which resulted in her signing the contract with them.
Since then Brandy has never looked back and today she is a successful singer, actor and a model. Brandy has made a mark of her own in the showbiz business earning accolades and awards including millions of fans to her credit.
